Paul Johnston – Chair

Peter Raven – Trustee
Peter is an accredited psychotherapist, He brings considerable experience of one-to-one counselling with individuals from the age of 16 years and has worked as a psychotherapist in both the NHS and the voluntary sector; maintained a private practice for over ten years and been a clinical manager of counselling services serving GP practices in the South East. He has experience of designing counselling interventions and is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and a professional member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling with degrees from Glasgow and Reading universities.
Fran Stokes – Trustee
Early in her career Fran qualified as a registered occupational therapist, and worked with people with mental health needs. She subsequently held a post at St Martin’s College, Lancaster (now the University of Cumbria) as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Health, and developed and ran their Masters in Rehabilitation Studies course. She has a special interest in dementia care, and has worked with people living with dementia and their carers in a variety of roles in both the NHS and the third sector. She has an MA in health promotion, and a strong belief in the need to support and maintain the wellbeing of carers. In her spare time Fran is a trained shared reading facilitator, and plays in a steel band.
